The Gentleman's Wardrobe/Closet

The gentleman look is usually preppy and loaded with class and style and sometimes culture. From my point of view a person's closet should be of more of his style and less or little of what's in vogue or trending, cause it brings out the fashionable sense in you.
To develop your own sense of fashion, you must be able to pick out the right type of clothes first and know how to mix and match them up properly, and for a "gentleman" you should know how to knot a tie, deal with pocket squares and know the kind of jackets/blazers to choose.

If you have the money and you are considering re-touching your wardrobe you should consider including these :


• Button up shirts: These can go perfectly with anything at all, whether it be jeans, shorts, chinos... jackets,blazers...it goes on and on. A white button up shirt is the most versatile though. Button up shirts look best when their plain, i mean no logos on it.

• Polo shirts: This is the most versatile clothing in your wardrobe. Polo's are the best shirts/tops ever. •Tuxedos and suits: A lot of people cannot differentiate a tuxedo form a suit, as a matter if fact some people take them as the same thing. I can't criticise them for that because the vary a just a few ways

                                                       

A grey or black and maybe a beige tuxedo or suit is very useful in different ways, not only can you use them for various occasions, you can use the jackets as blazers to match any colour you have on. The same way you can use the trousers for a casual dressing. See how versatile they are?. Though they can be very expensive for a good quality, best believe its worth it. Remember not to dry clean them or wash like a normal t-shirt should be done. 

• T-Shirts: T-shirts, definitely every guy should have t-shirts in his wardrobe, unlimited. Different types should be there; plain, vintage, animal skin etc.

• Sweaters or cardigans: Not only for the cold weather, they are good for nice preppy and casual outings.

• Trousers and shorts: Denim jeans, this should be flat, relaxed or skinny fit. And khaki And for khaki, they are very quintessential pant-on-jeans. Because you need something thats less scratchy and freer than jeans. In the case of shorts any kind of shorts would do most especially cargo and khaki shorts.

• Shoes: Choose a pair of shoes that are really hot for you. They can be sneakers, dress shoes, casuals, boat shoes. Example. Vans, oxford, jordans, tods, toms etc.

• Accessories: Scarves(plaid, animal print, designer logo), ties(skinny, bow), belts(designer, plain or simple), jewellery, buttons/badges, glasses(wayfarers or aviators), hats.
